Answer:Nothing exotic. Just a pet that shows affection back to me. Lets me know its happy to see me when I get home. Wants to go with me when i leave. Looks at me with wonder in its eyes.
I have had snakes as pets. Rattle snakes, gopher snakes and garder snakes. I had a emperor scorpion as a pet. I've had tarantulas as pets. Not a one of them ever noticed i was not happy or happy. They just wanted to be fed. Now I'm not knocking a good snake for a pet. A gopher snake will reach 5ft and let you hold them and play with them.
The thing is though they still have that expressionless look in there eyes. If your holding them or your buddy they feel the same way about each of you.
Now your probably wondering is this guy going to answer the question or not. If you have read some stuff i have written then you probably already know my answer but if not its a dog.
The best pet you could ever have. Will show you love. Is happy to see you even if you went in the house for 5 minutes. They can tell if your happy or sad or mad to. They will act accordingly. They can be very smart. You can teach them things to do.
They love any attention you give them. They will protect you and your loved ones if there so inclined. I really can't see a better starter pet for some one.
I want another one now but its just not the right time so i am waiting. Would not be fare to the dog to do it now. A good dog will become a member of the family.
They love children if raised around them to. Great companions for your kids growing up. They will have great adventures with a dog.
