Sivasubramania Iyer's wife was very orthodox Brahmin and conservative wife, was something of a rebel. Sivasubramania used to spend hours with Kalam. And then he said "I want you to develop so that you are on par with the highly educated people of the big cities ". One day, he invited Kalam to his home for a meal.
