What kind of change have done in caste system of India in modernisation

Caste system in India has faced a drastic change :-

♠ Now there is no inequality between Upper caste and lower caste people.

♠ In 1850 ' s Dalits were initially declared as Depressed classes.

♠ Dalits were later said to be as ' Scheduled Caste'.

♠ Adivasis were declared as ' Scheduled Tribe'.

♠ Other classes who faced the similar inequality were organised in ' OTHER BACKWARD CASTES'.

♠ To prevent these castes from getting exploited by the upper castes, Government provided them with approximately 27% reservation in Educational and working institutions.

♠ These changes came in the caste system in India due to Modernisation.
