• A vertebrate body muscles is composed of a large number of muscle fibers . the muscle fibers are arranged in groups each group is under the control of a single motor neuron , the axon of which sends a terminal branch of each fibers of the group .

• The strength of the contraction will ,therefore depend on how many muscle fibers of a group contract when a nerve impulse travels down their motor neurons

• When we read a book in one body posture fir a long time then our neck muscles experiences involuntary contraction for a long time and these motor neurons make us sense of a pain which we says spasms.
