When Jill Faulkner Summers found the screenplay for the vampire film Dreadful Hollow among her father’s papers in 1999, she turned it over to Lee Caplin, executor of the Faulkner estate. Joseph Blotner’s 1974 Biography doesn’t mention the script and until Faulkner Summers found her copy, the only known copy of the screenplay belonged to Bruce F. Kawin who provides a brief summary of it in Film and Faulkner and mentions it again in his paper .
