Kinetic energy.
Kinetic energy is the energy due to motion.
For example - if a truck is moving with a constant velocity of 72m/s and while coming down from a slope it hits a box which was in the middle of the road.
The box will be displaced.
- Hence we can say work is done.
- As the force acts on a box and it is displaced .
- So if a work is done a energy is needed.
- This energy is kinetic energy.
- It's SI unit is joule.
- Formula is 1/2mv^2.
