Answer:- at the beginning of the story mr. oliver seems to be a very imaginative and brave person who did not believe on ghosts or any supernatural power. But when on his way to his home he saw a school boy who was sitting alone quietly and when he forced to lit up his face the light of the later fell on his face and he saw the was without face like he had no- eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Only a round head wearing a school cap. After when he saw his face he ran away quickly from there. This proves that Oliver was became opposite of his description.

- Oliver was a courageous man who did not believe in imaginary and ghost stories. But, when he was returning through the forest at night, he saw a boy sitting alone a rock. he was surprised to see the boy sitting alone at that time since the boys were forbidden to move out after dark and when Oliver asked the boy why he was there at night and to look up, Oliver was horrified to see that the boy's face was without eyes,ears,nose and mouth. After when he saw his face and away from there and this prove himself opposite of this description.
