What kind of material is used to avoid the rusting and overheating of the surface

Metals can be prevented from corrosion by:

Coating a layer of paint.

In case of alloys Nickel or Zinc can be used for coating.

To avoid overheating:

The metal should not be kept in hot sun.

Coating with white paint can help because white absorbs less heat than black surface.

Coating with stainless steel.
