Thelma was an intelligent and fun-loving person. She loved writing and went to the beach with the author to get inspiration. She enjoyed visiting the Simpson Beach and found joy in small things like splashing in the sea and playing with starfish and small crabs. She liked Chinese food. The most striking aspect of Thelma’s personality was that she had a very positive attitude towards life. Since she had seen life, she used her experiences to teach others about life. She was cheerful even when she was admitted to the hospital for cancer treatment. She knew that she would die because of the disease, but that did not stop her from enjoying each moment, including eating donuts and playing with Tessa.
