what kind of rainfall do western Ghats recieve?Explain

Western Ghats of India recieve orographic rainfall. This kind of rainfall occurs when the moist air is forced to rise up a hill. The windward side recieves more rainfall than compared to the leeward side. The western Ghats being in the windward side recieves this rainfall.
