1) Tricki was given a non-medicinal treatment. His diet regimen was altered depending upon his body's response to it. He was kept on liquid diet for the first two days and then his diet was gradually increased. Yes, this treatment did help Tricki as it built up energy in him.

2) The narrator was tempted to keep Tricki on as a permanent guest because Mrs. Prumphrey had started bringing eggs to build the strength of the Tricki. After this, the bottles of wine and brandy were the other enjoyment. The narrators and his partners started enjoying the eggs and wine, all meant for Tricki.

3) Mrs. Pumphrey wanted to explain the critical condition of his pet dog, Tricki to Dr. ... Pumphrey was suffering and after a fortnight, felt compelled to phone and tell her that the little dog had recovered and was awaiting collection.
