What kind of wave and sound wave ?show graphical representation of a sound wave and mark the points of compression and refraction

their are 2 kinds of waves i.e longitudinal and transverse wave.
mostly the sound waves are longitudinal waves. ( in gas and liquid sound travels through longitudinal waves but in case of solid the wave can travel in both ways )
longitudinal waves moves in form of compressions and rarefractions. compressions are the region of high pressure and the air particle are more comperss and rarefraction is the of low pressure and the particle are not tightly compress.
EX- when u stretch and release slinky or spring then u can observe it.
