Ethnic discrimination refers to unequal treatment given to people based on their ethnicity or their religion, cast or creed.
Ethnic groups in the west include African Americans, Jews, Armenians, etc. Most of them were appointed as slaves and were not given the right to vote. They were not allowed suing in courts neither were they allowed to leave plantation without passes. They were being treated unequally and and tyrannically punished for minor actions. They also had a fear for their own safety.
