With the creation of the state schools, schooling was made compulsory for all girls.
Their fathers could no longer force them into marriage against their will.
Marriage was made into a legal contract entered into freely and registered under civil law.
Divorce was made legal and could be applied for, by both men and women.
Women could now train for jobs, could become artisans or run small business.

They demanded rights from the revolutionary Govt. and started a protest. Their struggle continued during the reign of terror. Certain women political clubs were also formed - The society of revolutionary and Republican Woman were the most prominent of them.
After long years of struggle women achieved certain rights -
