Together with the creation of state schools, schooling and education was made compulsory for girls.
Their fathers were not allowed to arrange their marriage against their will. Marriage now was made into a contract entered into feely and registered under the law. Divorce was made legal for both men and women.
Women now could train for jobs, could become artists or run small bisinesses.
