there were many reasons behind the subsistence crisis that was there in France and the prominent reasons for the failure of food crops as the harvest was not good that year and the crops failed due to the snow and Frost another thing that was responsible was the increased taxation by the king Louis XVI and the feudal system was the root cause which was behind the curtains
