Q. What least number must be added to 1780 to make it a perfect square.

Solution :

First, find the square root of 1780 by long division method.

...............43
...........|————-
........4 | 1780
...........|-16
....——|————-
.....83 | 180
..........| -249
...——|————-
..........| - 69

Hence, the least number is 69, which should be added to 1780 to make it a perfect square.

And the purfect square number
= 1780+69 = 1849

Hence, square root of 1849 = 43

aim : What least number must be added to 1780 to make it a perfect square

so firstly ,let us find the square root of 1780

=>
√1780

=> 42.19...............

now let us round of 42.19 ............to the next hundered

=>43 [ approximately]

now let us find the square of 43

=>43²

=> 1849

so the least perfect square after the number 1780 is 1849

so the,

=>least number , added to 1780 to make it a perfect square = 1849 - 1780

                                                                                                =  69

∴∴69 is the >least number , added to 1780 to make it a perfect square

=>69 +1780 = 1849

=>√1849  = 43
