what least number should be subtracted from 12031 to get a number exactly divisible by 17 ?​

Answer:

Divide 2000 by 17 to get 117.6470588. Deduct 117 from the quotient to get 0.6470588. Multiply that decimal by 17 to get 11. So deduct 11 from 2000 to get 1989 which is divisible by 117 with no remainder. Answer.
