what least number to be subtracted from both terms  of ratio 15:19 to make ratio 3:4?

Let the number to be Subtracted from both  term be x

Given Ratio

⇒ 15 : 19

To make the Ratio

⇒ 3 : 4

According to the question

⇒ ( 15 - x)/(19 -x) = 3 : 4

⇒ ( 60 - 4x) = ( 57 - 3x)

⇒ x = 3

Therefore , 3 is the number to be Subtracted from each term of ratio 15 : 19 to make ratio 3 : 4

Here's your Answer

Let the number be x.

15 : 19 to convert into 3:4

A.T.Q.

=> (15 - x )/ (19 - x) = 3/4

=> 4 ( 15 - x) = 3 ( 19 - x)

=> 60 - 4x = 57 - 3x

=> x = 3.

Therefore, 3 is the required number.
