What led chandu menon to write indulekha?

when Chandu Melon translated Henrietta Temple by Benjamin Disraeli into Malayalam he realized that the characters, their life style ,dress n customs were all foreign to the Malayalam readers n they could not relate well to these. he did not even complete translation bcoz he was assertive that the natives would not take well to this work for their unfamiliarity to the foreign ways n manners. he thus, wrote this...indulekhain in d year 1889.
