Othello and Desdemona's marriage union, was one that was never approved, because it involved the coming together of two people of different races and colors. Desdemona however was attracted by Othello's bravery and his courage to face any kind of danger and this was the main reason which led Desdemona to marry Othello.

Othello's bravery and courage as a warrior led Desdemona to marry him against her father's wishes. Othello was a moor fighting for the Venetian republic, of which Desdemona's father was a councillor.
