There were many reasons for breakup of yugoslavia but one of most important one was realism which deals with politics.

1.Realism played important role because equal power was never distributed in yugoslavia and there was struggle of power.

2.Due to political conflicts which arise during 1980.
3. After WW1 yugoslavia were a federation of six territories. People of territories started crying for more autonomy.
