The 1848 Revolution in France, sometimes known as the February Revolution (révolution de Février), was one of a wave of revolutions in 1848 in Europe. In France the revolutionary events ended the Orléans monarchy (1830–1848) and led to the creation of the French Second Republic.

The fallowing causes led to the uprising in France in 1832 :

1.  The Republicans, Bonapartists and legitimists enraged over replacing Charles X by Louis-Philippe as monarch on the directions of Chamber of Deputies.

2.  Severe economic crises from 1827-1832.

3.  Food shortage, harvest failures and high cost living.

4.  Outbreak of Cholera in 1832 n Paris was the immediate cause which killed about one lakh people. Moreover Jean Maximilian Lemarque, former hero of Napoleonic wars and reformer died due to Cholera and his death culminated in Uprising.
