consumer protection act implemented by government on 24th December which is also observed as a consumers day.

1) Very often different unfair trade practises happen in the market place like adulteration , hoarding , selling defective goods etc. for which consumers are exploited. So, Government had taken some measures to stop these unfair trade practises .
2) Government had introduced some rights for the consumers under consumer movement and united nation guide lines in 1986, called consumer protection act.
3) under these laws consumer were give various rights
I)Right to choose
ii)Right to safety
iii)Right to be informed
iv)Right to represent
v)right to seek redressal
4)There are judicial courts in 3 different in 3 different levels i.e. district level, state level, national level to solve the problem of consumers disputes and to get redressal.
I)The district level court deals with case involving cases upto ₹20 lakhs
ii) The state level court deals with the case involving cases upto ₹1 crore
iii)The national level courts deals with the case involving cases more than ₹1 crore
