The poet learned that what is done can never be undone and it is believed that Snake almost give what we done to it. The narrator was horrified at the sight of the snake around his neck. It could not breathe for a while and turned to a stone yet his presence of mind, moreover he possessed by a rare kind of boldness that he didn't jump.
