We have some real problems that have permeated our society. We all know it and can’t pretend that we don’t. It’s called hate. It’s called bullying. It’s called intolerance. It’s called racism. It’s called anti-Semitism. We know it. The school systems know it. The question is: Can we proactively do something about it? I believe we can.
Most of us know a few historical facts about the period of the Holocaust. We know, for example, that roughly 11.5 million people were either murdered, starved to death, or died due to inhumane conditions leading to life taking diseases, of which 6 million were Jews. We know that you didn't have to be "old" to be murdered because 1.5 million of those that died were little children.
