Britain known as Imperial Nation because ,In the desire of trade and intresting good like sugar spices etc.the fact the British were one of the premier seafaring nations. The desire to teach and improve other nations and civilised them and even in many cases the desire to escape persecution at home from some of the minor religions who left Great Britain for the America's to start a new life.Britain always wanted to be better than their rivals countries such as Spain and France. They wanted to rise above their enemies and having an empire would show this.
