✔Hari was overwhelmed with the guilt of having cheated a man who trusted him a lot. He knew that Anil would become sad when he would discover the theft but the saddness would not be due to the theft of money but for the breach of trust. So his guilt made him to return back to Anil. He also returned back to Anil because he wanted to get education, as educated people are respected.

Anil had been teaching Hari Singh to read and write. He thought that without education,he would only remain a thief. But with education he would become a big, clever and respected man. This made him come back to Anil
