Harold expressed great happiness & pride on knowing that his father was " Young Porky ". He was hoping to be respected by his classmates. He also was worried about his money that he had put on bet. He wanted Bill to defeat the American Murphy. Therefore, for Harold's sake, Bill took his decision back.

When Harold got to know that his father was Young Porky he felt very happy as he was a bog follower of Young Porky, he followed the game of boxing. He was feeling very happy and and thought to be respected by his classmates. He wanted Young Porky (Bill) to win the match with American Murphy to win his bet. After seeing the excitement of of Harold Bill took back his decision and agreed to fight with American Murphy.
