What made Helen impatient and angry?

Miss Anne Sullivan arrived on March 3, 1887 to teach Helen. She hugged Helen who was only six years old at that time. She tried to teach Helen by making pictures on her palm but it was not easy. Helen did not understand what she was trying to convey and got very impatient and angry. She even broke the beautiful doll which was presented to Miss Sullivan by the blind students of the Perkins Institute.
