More or less, sooner or later Helen was helped, supported and motivated by her friends. Infact she dedicated the last chapter to her friends. That is why she considered her life as a product of her friends' efforts.

Mr.Anagnos: After Helen had joined the Perkins Institution, he became a good friend of hers. Helen dedicated things she wrote to him during those years. However, a breach in their friendship came with The Frost King episode. After Helen was accused of plagiarism for her story, he terminated their friendship. Nonetheless, during the times when they were close friends, he had helped Helen in all possible ways, encouraging her and providing her with books in raised print
