Given :-

What made Lear vow revenge against his cruel daughters? Why did he think he had given away his kingdom foolishly?

Answer :-

Lear promises to avenge himself against both Regan and Goneril. He says he will divide his kingdom based on each daughter's profession of love, yet he gives each daughter her share before the others have spoken, saving the best portion for Cordelia. Clearly the two older sisters would envy their obviously-favored youngest sister and resent their father for his obvious favoritism.
