Actually the reason of death of Ajabde is not quite clear. According to Wikipedia, Maharani Ajabde died because of illness or maybe while giving birth. But in the serial Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap it was shown that she was killed by a killer named Fazal Khan who had come to Udaipur to kill Rana Pratap on the orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.
