Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday launched the official theme song of the Indian Olympic Team of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in presence of IOA president Narinder Batra and secretary-general Rajeev Mehta. Notably, The song has been composed and sung by popular playback singer Mohit Chauhan.
More than 100 athletes are expected to represent India at the Tokyo Games, which is expected to go ahead as scheduled despite concerns due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Notably, the Games were postponed last year due to the pandemic. Earlier this month, Mohit Chauhan was also present at the launch of the official Team India kit for the Summer Games. He sang 'Tu Thaan Le' for the dignitaries present at that event.

The training for the Tokyo Games are in full swing with quite a few elite athletes, including the shooters and wrestlers, training overseas. One of India's biggest medal hopes and javelin star Neeraj Chopra has also been training overseas. On the other hand, India shuttler, including PV Sindhu, Sai Praneeth and the double duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, are working on their routine back home.
