Mrs Packletide had always been jealous of Loona Bimberton. Recently, Loona Bimberton had been carried by an Algerian aviator across the desert and was famous in her community for being the most daring and adventurous. She published in a daily newspaper and bragged about it .
To show Loona Bimberton that she was more daring and adventurous than her , Mrs Packletide arranged to go to India to shoot a tiger , and offered a thousand rupees for the opportunity to kill a tiger. She dreamt of being published in a newspaper and throwing a party at her house , in honour of Loona , but instead bragging about her own achievements and even wanted to present a tiger claw broach to Loona.
