because her dog was ill. He was kept lying on rug and feel uneasy. Though icecreams and cakes and creams were the dog's favourite food but he was not in the position to eat them . thats why mrs pumphrey call the vet

Mrs. Pumphrey’s dog was unwell so she visited the doctor with her pet dog. His dog was lying down here and there as he has feeling uneasy.

The dog loved cakes and ice cream but due to the illness he was not even consuming his most favorite food.

The dog was not in a good situation to eat those foods thus his master called the vet.
