The postmaster read Lencho's letter because the postmaster showed him the letter. The postmaster had a thorough understanding of a sharp, sympathetic and sensitive mind and he didn't want to break Lencho's deep faith in God. He knew that merely goodwill was no sufficient so he collected a sum of seventy pesos from various and sent the money to Lencho.

As soon as the postmaster read the letter, he started laughing. But, soon he became serious when he realized the predicament of the person who had written the letter. Being impressed by that person's faith in God, he tapped the letter on the desk. He said that he wished that he also kept the same faith in God.
