His ghost stories were quite popular and Jenkins, the editor of the magazine for which he wrote stories on supernatural plots often asked him to write more stories for the magazine.
He was disappointed to know that the ghost stories that he wrote were being given to him by The Writer’s Inspiration Bureau managed by ugly ghosts.

The writer believed that he would somehow get inspired and dig out a plot or idea for new stories even under pressure. A ghost of a woman called Helen came to him claiming that ghosts like her had been giving him ideas to think of plots for his stories.
