Most of the plains are formed by the rivers which carry the silt and deposit on the banks. Such plains are appropriate for agriculture.As a result these plains are quickly inhabit by the people.

floodplains are fertile due to to depositional activities of rivers. rivers carry along with them eroded material like ok fine soil and sediments when it overflows its banks it deposit the eroded material and causes flood plains to be formed full stop the deposited material make the land fertile
