what makes an election democratic? is it good to have political competition?​

The democratic elections have the following characteristics :--

1) These elections must be held free and fairly

2) These must provide an option to the citizens to vote

3) These must be held at regural intervals

4) These must provide the ruling party an equal chances of losing

It is absolutely good to have democratic elections only when there is strict following of rules and regulations that make the elections democratic.....
