what makes author change his mind about montmorency
Answers
Montmorency was not at all the angel that he appeared to be! The author too was deceived by his deceptive looks. When first he came to live with him, the author feared the cute dog would run away from him. He would look long on him affectionately as he sat on the rug. The author also thought such cute creatures as Montmorency would not live long. But the dog turned out to be real nuisance. He killed approximately a dozen chickens in the neighbourhood for which he had to pay! He brought a dead cat home for which the author had to be embarrassed. He would often assail an innocent man who remained pinned up in his own tool-shed out of fear. The gardener used the dog to kill rats. Knowing all these things about Montmorency, the author changed his opinion about him.
