Elections in India are democratic because of following reasons i.e. every citizen has given right to vote to choose their representative without discrimination and their vote are equal.  

It offers citizens and parties to content elections freely.

In India there are lot of candidates who are serving the country after gaining power.  

Hence voters have power to select from lot of options.
