A federal system of a country means a system in which the country's administrative powers are divided into a stronger central government and smaller state governments just like India. The Constitution of India declares that India , that is Bharat, shall be the union of states. Both the central and state government draw their authority from the constitution.

Because India is having more than one level of government.

Indian federation is having three lists hence divsion of power.

If any conflict between centre and state Supreme Court made the final decision.

The jurisdiction of each level of government is fixed and mentioned in the constitution.

The financial autonomy clearly specify the revenue of each level.
