What makes tallness of the plant a dominant trait? why can't shortness be the same?(Mendel's experiment doesn't explain this)

Listen no one can eventually explain why tallness is a dominant trait. Its just the same as you ask why 2+2=4. Tallness is dominant trait and it will express even in the presence of its recessive counterpart.
