- innermost zone ---- dark or black in colour
- middle zone -------- luminous zone
- outer most zone ------- Non luminous zone
- Luminous means bright and emits light
- The yellow colour region which is the bright part of the flame is middle zone of the candle.
- It is due to partial or incomplete combustion of fuel
