The northern plains in India are the fertile piece of soil – good and apt for cultivation and agricultural purposes and hence filled with the richness of qualitative soil.

The presence of major perennial rivers and the rich flowing rivers like Ganga, Yamuna and Brahmaputra in the region around and the alluvial deposits created along with the minerals and the fertile element that the river water carries with itself rooting away any sort of dryness in the land keep sit fertile and the soil retains the necessary minerals, moisture and rejuvenates itself now and then.
