The red kangaroo is the world's largest marsupial. Females have one baby at a time, which at birth is smaller than a cherry. The infant immediately climbs into its mother's pouch and does not emerge for two months. As they grow, joeys' heads and feet can often be seen hanging out of the pouch.

Answer:

The red kangaroo (Osphranter rufus)[5]or red giant kangaroo is the largest of all kangaroos, the largest terrestrial mammal native to Australia, and the largest extant marsupial. It is found across mainland Australia, except for the more fertile areas, such as southern Western Australia, the east and southeast coasts, and the rainforests along the northern coast.
