LIPID MOLECULE :

Lipids are generally made up of Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen.

They are not soluble in water. However, it is seen that lipid molecules are soluble in ether, benzene, etc which are known as the organic solvents.

Lipids are observed to be composed of fatty acids or glycerol. Lipids may contain both fatty acids and glycerol.

This is the composition of a lipid molecule.
