The Paleozoic era ended with a extinction called the end-Permian extinction which was one of the biggest extinction event in Earth history. So what marked the end of the Paleozoic era? {A} "The end-Permian extinction." The end-Permian extinction happened about 252 million years ago and took out more than half of the families of living things died out.
