What mass of chalk containing 60% CaCO3 would be required for obtaining 200 litres of CO2 at NTP.

Moles of CO2 at NTP: n = PV/RT = (1)(200)/(0.082)(293) = 8.3 moles

1 mole CaCO3 = 1 mole CO2, therefor need 8.3 moles CaCO3

molar mass CaCO3 = 40+12+48 = 100 g/mol

8.3 mol x 100 g/mol = 830 grams

Since it is only 60% pure, 1383 grams are needed
